Abstract :
Malinau Regency has an airport named Robert Atty Bessing with a runway capacity currently capable of serving the largest aircraft, namely ATR 42/72. In the government's program from 2019 to the next 10 years, the government plans to bring in larger-sized aircraft to improve the quality of airport services. To support the government program, it is necessary to forecast the number of future air passengers (forecasting) using a simple linear regression method to determine the direction of the relationship between the independent variable and the dependent variable whether it has a positive or negative relationship. From these calculations, it is obtained that the type of aircraft is CRJ-1000 NG by considering the passenger carrying capacity and the size of the aircraft. From the analysis carried out, the prediction of air passenger movement has an increasing trend, the existing condition of the runway requires an additional 1.039m and requires an increase in landing aids in order to operate the planned aircraft.
