Abstract :
Pesawat Udara Nir Awak (PUNA) or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) are aircraft
that are controlled without using a human crew and are controlled using a remote control
system by radio waves. One of the institutions that support the development of this drone
technology is Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan, Riset dan Teknologi (Kemendikbud Ristek) Through the Directorate of Research and Community Service gave birth to the Kontes
Robot Terbang Indonesia (KRTI) di Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) in 2013.
The purpose of this study was to determine the planning of the autopilot flight control
system and to carry out flying missions with a number 8 trajectory which was projected in
Kontes Robot Terbang Indonesia (KRTI) for the Racing Plane category. To test the flight
control of the model aircraft, software assistance is needed so that the aircraft can fly
autonomously and stably. The software is ARDUPILOT MISSION PLANNER.
The flight test was carried out using 3 (three) flight modes, namely the manual mode
flight test which functions to regulate the system response to the input signal from the radio
control, the FBWA mode serves to correct the state of the aircraft level, the Auto mode functions
to carry out Autonomous flying missions. It was obtained from the Autonomous flight test which
was carried out in several trials, at most getting 7 rounds in segment 1 for 3 minutes of flying
with the furthest traversed distance of 5951.22 M.
