Abstract :
Aircraft maintenance is something that must be done in the entire aircraft
system, maintenance must be carried out because each component has a certain
reliability and age limit. This study aims to determine the results of the analysis of
the causes of failures that occur in the fuselage component fuel system on the KT-
1B Woong Bee aircraft. The data used is in the form of a maintenance diary from
the 043 Engineering Squadron for the 2020-2021 period.
The method used is the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method,
Logic Tree Analysis (LTA) and the Risk Priority Number (RPN) value. The first
step is to identify the failure in each component. Each failure mode and the failure
effect that occurs in each component in the FMEA table. After that, the Risk
Priority Number analysis was carried out by looking at the severity (Saverity), the
incidence (Occurrence), and the detection level (Detection) of each component.
The level of risk of failure that occurs, all components in the airframe fuel
system have a moderate risk value, namely the delivery jet pump, transfer jet
pump, acrobatic tank, booster pump, and fuel filter element. With respective RPN
values, namely delivery jet pump, transfer jet pump, booster pump and fuel filter
element with a value of 144. And acrobatic tanks with an RPN value of 108.
