Abstract :
A drone is a vehicle that is shaped like an airplane or helicopter that can operate
in the air, land and even at sea and is operated without using a crew or pilot. In
contrast to airplanes where the pilot is in the cabin, the drone pilot remains on the
ground and only controls the drone with remote control facilities. Therefore the
author wants to design a ''DRONE PAINTER'' which can replace this job, where
the drone to be designed can do direct painting which can be controlled using a
remote control or planted with an autopilot system. The data collection method used
in this study was to use the literature study method, the observation method and the
analytical method. From the results of the analysis using ANSYS software on
ANSYS flight performance, Lift 144.222 N and Drag 64.0486 N, exceeding MTOW
of 79.6 N and airflow from the propeller at when cruising does not affect the nozzle
to spray paint on the building. At Endurance Drone Painter the speed is 5.1 m/s
with a theoretical calculation of 43.92 seconds (with a load) and 59.04 seconds
(without carrying a load) while the Range Drone Painter is at a speed of 5.1 m/s
with a theoretical calculation of 223.992m (with load) and 301.104m (without
load).
