Abstract :
The Oil System of the KT-1B Woong Bee aircraft PT6A-62 Engine uses a Dry Sump Lubrication system. The Oil Tank is located on the Airframe which is placed in one series with the Engine at the rear. This system has a Special Inverted Flight Oil System so that aircraft lubrication continues to work normally when the aircraft is flying in an inverted position. In addition to lubrication, the oil system also plays a role in the scavenging function, cooling 2 bearings, splines, gears when the engine rotates, and to change the angle of the propeller. To find out the Low Pressure problem in the Oil System of the KT- 1B Woong Bee aircraft, it is necessary to analyze using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method because it is often used to analyze system failures, in analyzing the fault tree using the method for obtaining cut sets (MOCUS) algorithm to find the minimum cut set so that the cause of the problem can be known from the component to determine the right solution regarding repair and maintenance. From the results of the analysis using the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method with oil system failure as the top event obtained, 15 intermediate events using AND and OR logic gates and 9 basic events that cause failures in the oil system failure include brittle seals, age, dirty oil filters, age, excessive oil volume, dirty oil pressure regulating valve age, age, dirty oil pressure tranducer.
