Abstract :
In a world of Flight, navigation is the key to reach point of desired destination, and the ability to navigate within treacherous weather or low visibility flight can be very challenging, thus a navigational instrument is needed for this task. with great precision and such sophisticated navigational information, such instrument can be very expensive,in this example is VOR instrument within an airplane. This type of instrument uses radio system and requires dedicated VOR beacon to operate which has limited range and narrow selection point of destination, and also its heavy and not every type of aircraft can support this type of instrument, therefore a new kind of instrument to solve all these problems. In this study will construct tools that implement earth coordinates data and mimic the functional properties of real life VOR instrument. The parameter used in this instrument are. it uses BNO-055 IMU sensors and smartphone GPS, then fusing the data using Kalman Filter to achieve high sampling coordinates data. This tool then process its data and display the navigation information on a smartphone with dedicated application named MHIS.
