Abstract :
Each airline seeks to optimize its flight operations by conducting various analyses related to the implementation of determining the fleet and flight routes. As well as the lowest possible fuel consumption and optimal load capacity can also increase competitiveness against other airline industry competitors. It is known that there are many flights with the same destination that have more than one flight route variation. In this research, we observed a flight route from Soekarno Hatta airport to Sultan Hassanudin airport. This flight has two different routes, different alternative airport options and is operated using two different types of aircraft, namely Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A320-200. The research used Flight Planning and Performance Manual (FPPM) and Flight Crew Operation Manual (FCOM) methods to analyze flight operations in determining the effectiveness of using Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A320-200 aircraft. From the research results, it was found that the most effective flight on the route from Soekarno Hatta airport to Sultan Hassanudin airport was the Airbus A320-200 aircraft with an average fuel consumption of 9,014 kg and an average load capacity of 19.912 kg using the Balikpapan alternate airport (BPN) on the South (W13) route.
