Abstract :
The effectiveness of a system lately has become a necessity either
formally or informally, this is due to the increasingly rapid technological
development. In the world of education this kind of thing must already be
implemented considering the increasing interest in the world of lectures and the
complexity of activities in the campus, especially STTA. One of the concerns is the
campus security system, especially in the student parking lot, which has not yet
been installed a safe and efficient parking system.
This thesis provides an overview and input to create a good parking
system so as to create stable conditions, one indicator of good parking system
management is a smooth service process and good parking security. Parking
systems using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification Digital) can provide
maximum security and time efficiency. The purpose of this thesis is to realize the
parking prototype by using RFID as an opening when parking out. Technologies
used include RFID as a user ID identifier, Arduino Uno as a controller, and a
servo motor as a parking beam drive.
Testing is done by attaching an RFID card to the RFID reader by
getting the test results showing the detected RFID distance limit is 2 cm with the
portal opening time is 5 seconds. The tool that is made really guarantees security
because the data cannot be manipulated, the effectiveness of the tool is 79% and
can save time by almost 7 seconds compared to pre-existing tools.
