Abstract :
Village land records in a form of geographic information system which
focuses on recording land information in villages are required to make land
recordings and documentation in villages easier. As an example, Pengkok Village
still conducted manual land recordings using analog maps from 1994. This practice
is risky as it can lead to conflicts on land ownership when there?s a mistake in the
land records or when the copy of the analog map is lost. Because of this, this study
aims at developing a village land map in a form of geographic information system
which includes digital maps for Pengkok village. Designing geographic
information system land mapping starts by developing a digital map which is called
digitization using ArcMap application from ArcGIS. Digitization includes several
steps from scanning an analog map until it becomes a polygon map of Pengkok
village. The implementation of the system?s appearance uses a library leaflet so the
digital map and the map?s information can appear in the system. The system was
tested through two tests which are accuracy test and result compatibility test. In
testing the accuracy, this study compares the data from the system with data from
Google maps and archives of Pengkok Village to see the difference in map areas.
Meanwhile, the result compatibility test was carried out by comparing the manual
data with the data and information which appear in the library leaflet. After testing
the accuracy, the result shows that there?s a 3.94% difference in map areas when
compared to Google maps, and there?s a 4.10% difference in map areas when
compared to Pengkok village?s archive. Meanwhile, in the result compatibility test,
the system achieves 100% compatibility
