Abstract :
From the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan regarding the exclusive breastfeeding coverage of babies aged <6 months has exceeded the annual target. However, in the field there are still many problems in breastfeeding where breast milk is not smooth. The high number of clients with complaints of breastfeeding inoperability is the reason why researchers took the theme of this study, besides that based on statistical data on the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in Malang City, it shows that the percentage of the Strategic Plan target is high but there are still complaints related to breastfeeding. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of oxytocin massage on the smoothness of breast milk in puerperal mothers in baby spa "Bubunda Care Malang". This research uses an analytical descriptive research design with an experimental Quasy approach. The study population was 49 people while the study sample was 30 people with the criteria of a puerperal mother and husband who could accompany. The research place is in the baby spa practice Bubunda Care Malang city. The analytical technique used is the Wilcoxon Match Pair Test using questionnaire and observation instruments. The results showed that the variables of breast milk fluency were the most in the current category of 29 people (97%), the oxytocin massage intervention variables were the most in the smooth category every day with the highest lancer frequency on day 2 million 23 people (77%) followed by the 1st and 3rd days respectively a total of 21 people (70%). Based on the Wilcoxon Match Pair Test, in the intervention variables of oxytocin massage with smooth breast milk there was a significant relationship between the oxytocin massage intervention group and the breast milk smoothness group with significance values (0.00) and coefficient values (-4,805b). So it can be concluded that oxytocin massage is effective against the smooth running of breast milk.
