MIDWIFERY STUDY PROGRAM GRADUATE PROGRAM KUSUMA HUSADA UNIVERSITY SURAKARTA 2023 ANA WIJAYANTI THE EFFECT OF HEALTH EDUCATION WITH MEDIA BOOKLET ON THE KNOWLEDGE OF MOTHERS ABOUT THE MONTH OF NATIONAL CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATION IN THE UPTD PUSKESMAS BENDOSARI, SUKOHARJO ABSTRACT Immunization is the most effective and efficient public health effort in preventing several dangerous diseases. One approach to communication and health education is through the right booklet media to provide education or health education to parents of toddlers about basic immunization services. This research was conducted to determine the effect of health education through booklets on mothers' knowledge about the National Childhood Immunization Month (BIAN). This study used a Quasi Experiment with a One group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were mothers of toddlers who visited the Bendosari Sukoharjo Health Center with a total sample of 83 mothers of toddlers. The characteristics of the respondents in this study were mostly between the ages of 21-30 years, namely 31 respondents or 37.3% of the total respondents, then the education of the respondents was mostly high school graduates, namely there were 40 respondents or 48.1%. 2. The majority of mothers' knowledge about imunisasi BIAN before being given health education using booklet media was Moderate, namely there were 42 respondents (50.60%), then after being given health education using booklet media the majority became Good, namely there were 46 respondents (55.42%). There was a significant increase from before to after being given health education using booklet media on the mother's knowledge about the national child immunization month (BIAN) with the result p = 0.000.
