Abstract :
Early pregnancy is a period of pregnancy that is prone to miscarriage. Various complaints can occur during pregnancy, one of which is nausea and vomiting. Nearly 50-90% of pregnant women experience nausea. The causes of nausea and vomiting are various, including the release of the human chorionic gonodothropine (hCG) hormone. This complaint is a physiological thing, but if it is not treated immediately it will become a pathological thing that will cause disturbances in pregnancy. So it is necessary to have an early treatment for nausea and vomiting, one of which is by non-pharmacological treatment, namely acupressure Neiguan point. The purpose of this study was to determine the description of giving Acupressure therapy at the Neiguan point for nausea and vomiting in pregnancy at the Bekonang Village, Sukoharjo Regency, Mojolaban sub district, Central Java. Research methods This research is a type of Quasy Experimental research with One Group Pretest Posttest design. The samples taken were all pregnant women at the Bekonang Village. The sampling technique uses total sampling with a total of 15 respondents. Data were obtained using the observation format, then analyzed with the Wilcoxon Signed Test. Results With the results of the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test showing that the p value = 0.001 (p value <0.05), then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so it can be concluded that giving acupressure therapy at Neiguan is effective in reducing the frequency of nausea and vomiting in pregnancy
