NURSING STUDY PROGRAM OF DIPLOMA 3 PROGRAMS FACULTY OF HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITY OF KUSUMA HUSADA SURAKARTA 2024 FAMILY NURSING CARE ON THE DEVELOPMENT STAGES OF SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN USING EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTIONS OF CLEAN AND HEALTHY LIVING BEHAVIOR ABOUT HAND WASHING 1) Rika Siti Fatmawati, 2) Erlina Windyastuti 1)Student of Nursing Study Program of Diploma 3 Programs, University of Kusuma Husada Surakarta 2)Lecturer of Nursing Study Program of Diploma 3 Programs, Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Kusuma Husada Surakarta Email: rikasitifatmawati@gmail.com ABSTRACT The family development stage of school-age children is the fourth stage of development that begins with children aged six (6) years and ends at twelve (12) years. At this stage, families (parents) ought to learn to separate from children, providing opportunities for children to socialize, both activities at school and outside of school. The research employed a case study method with the research subject in Tuban Lor Village. The case study demonstrated that the client did not understand the correct hand-washing technique. The nursing intervention involved educating children on Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), focusing on proper hand-washing techniques. This education utilized direct demonstration methods and video/audiovisual media for four (4) home visits. Based on the examination, the subject presented improvement, as indicated by the observation results of the pretest score of 7 to 12 in the posttest score. It is advisable to provide PHBS education for clients with limited knowledge.
