Abstract :
OPAC is a library program that works in searching for information needed by the user. Based on experience, information retrieval does not display alternative thesis titles, either typing queries correctly or query typing errors occur. In addition, if the user does not find the title of the thesis sought sometimes search results appear a message "search results not found". Information retrieval is how to find a document from unstructured documents. TF-IDF and GVSM algorithms are one of the solutions applied in this research. So the search results shown only focus on the title of the thesis and the search results will display documents relevant to the keyword being typed. Conducted testing of data, namely test precision and recall. The results of data testing obtained precision value 0.631 and recall value 0.970.
