Abstract :
Background: Narcotics, psychotropic, and other harmful ingredients that when consumed can change one's mood, feeling, and behavior. Adverse effect of drug abuse of the phenomenon which lost generation, affecting the physical, psychological, and social health for the user, for the family, society and even cause death. To Prevent the drug abuse, everyone needs a good knowledge and a positive attitude towards drugs. Aim: The aims of this research to determine correlation knowledge and attitudes with drug abuse prevention in second grade students at ARINDA Senior High School Palembang City. Method: The method of this research used deskriptif analitik design with cross sectional approach. The Population is all students of second grade at ARINDA Senior High School. The Sample in this research is students of second grade at ARINDA Senior High School there are 50 responden by total sampling, data collection tool using questionnaires, and data analysis using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Result: The results of this study obtained good knowledge 40 respondent (80%), neutral attitude 32 respondent (64%), and prevention of medium drug abuse 36 respondent (72%). Kolmogorov Smirnov test results that the knowledge haven?t relation with prevention of drug abuse with p value 0.967 and the attitude haven?t relation with the prevention of drug abuse with p value 0.835. Conclution: knowledge and attitudes don?t always affect the prevention efforts of a person because there are many factors such as school support, family roles and friends. Suggestion: be expected students at ARINDA Senior High School searching more information about drugs and prevention.
