Abstract :
Background: Girls have experienced menarche as a sign of sexual maturity with
an age range of 10 ? 16 years. Girls who experience menarche are characterized
by anxiety, shame, and fear.
Aims: this study aims to determine the relationship characteristics with the
attitude of post menarche young women in SMP Xaverius 6 Palembang.
Method: this type of research is analytic survey with cross sectional design.the
subjects of this study were 7th grade girls. Sampling using total sampling
technique with a large sampel of 65 respondents accordingto inclusion and
exclusion criteria. Data analysis using fisher exact test and pearson chi square
test with significance level 0.05.
Result: Test result Fisher Exact Test and Pearson Chi Square obtained no
relationship characteristics with the attitude of young woman after menarche with
significance level (p = >0.05).
Conclusion : The results of this study were obtained by teenage girls most of them> 12
years with 96.9% percentage, average menarche age <12 years old as much as 50%,
most of the order of birth of children to 1 and 2 as much as 66.2% and most of the tribe
Tionghoa as much as 86.2%. Most positively post menarche with a percentage of 64.4%.
Age relationship, birth order with post-menarche attitude was analyzed using Fisher
Exact test and culture sku relation with post-menarche adolescent attitude using Pearson
Chi Square test analysis got no relation with p => 0,05.
