Abstract :
Background:Adolescence tend to be emotional, difficult to control, looking for self-identity, try new things and start dating. If adolescents are not able to control themselves, they will be trapped into negative things, such as free sex behavior. Free sex behavior is any sexual behavior that is driven by sexual desire with the opposite gender or same gender, this form of behavior ranging from feeling attracted to intercourse. The condition is very worrying because it can lead to unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortions, and sexually transmitted diseases Purpose: to determine the related factors of free sex behavior in adolescence in SMP Mardi Wacana Palembang. Method: This research used analytical method with cross sectional survey design and 73 respondents sample with Simple Random Sampling technique. The bivariate analysis technique used is Kendall Tau test. Results: The majority of respondents aged 13-15 years (82.2%), male (57.5%), had dating (90.4%), had puberty (98.6%), and never had experience sex before (91.8%). The majority of respondents had poor sexual knowledge (78.1%), good parent role (53.4%), good enough peer role (46.6%), obedience to religious norms (65.8% ), and obtained a fairly easy source of information (60.3%), low free sex behavior (52.1%). Result of bivariate test, there is relation between religious norm with free sex behavior in adolescence (p = 0.033) and there is no relation between sexual knowledge (p = 0.639), parent role (p = 0.239), peer role (p = 0.357) and dissemination of information by mass media (p = 0.129) with free sex behavior in adolescence. It is recommended that schools increase religious activities and education of reproduction and free sex and it?s impact.
