Abstract :
Bacground : in the patient of schizophfrenia, one of problem that often found in this case is the statisfaction of family for getting the claim and information. it is important for family for this case. so it?s can not be taken lightly, Thus required the involvement of nurses in providing nursing services professionally and responsible for their duties in accordance with the role of a nurse. Aim:The study was design to know the relationship of nurse?s role as educator with family satisfaction on the fulfillment of claim and information on Patients of Skizofrenia in Clinic Ernaldi Bahar Hospital Palembang. Method :this study was used analitic research design with cross sectional approaching and the sample consisted of 89 respondent using purposive sampling technique. Result :the result of univariate analysis statistical variable role of nurse as educator is 85 respondents (14,5%). The result of bivariate analysis with chi- square statistic test (a ?0,05) was obtained on the role of nurse as educator that is p value = 0,030 there is significant relation between nurse role as educator with family satisfaction on fulfillment of claim and information in schizophrenia patient. It is hoped that the nurse will continue to perform the role in accordance with the responsibility, and always to provide information on the fulfillment of claim and information to the patient and the family is getting better.
