Abstract :
Background : Caring is a human relationship, relationship between nurse with patient, and the nurse with the patient's family. Nurse Caring is also evident in charitas spirituality value that includes love, simple, sacrifice, joy and prayer. Charitas spirituality value is needed by nurses in providing services to patients and their families. Objective : This study is to determine the correlation of nurse caring behavior by lowering parents anxiety due to hospitalization for children in Paviliun Theresia at RS.RK. Charitas Palembang, that held on April 27th ? May 10th 2017. Method : This research is an analytical with cross design sectional. The sample in this study is mother or surrogate mother. This study is used purposive sampling technique with number of respondents as many as 102 respondents. Result : The results of this study obtained 52 of 102 respondents (50%) choose the good caring and choose the low anxiety as many as 55 from 102 (53,9%). After chi square test with 95% credibility obtained p value 0.016 < ? 0.05. it is conclude that there is nurse caring behavior by lowering parents anxiety due to hospitalization for children in Paviliun Theresia at RS.RK. Charitas Palembang. Suggestion : It is expected that the hospital can apply the values of Charitas Spirituality in reducing parents? anxiety.
