Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of attitude, norm,
control, and risk preference to Palembang economics colleger’s intention to invest
in capital market. This study uses Theory of Planned Behavior as the theory. The
population is all of economics collegers in Palembang, then the sample is
economic colleger from Musi Charitas Catholic University, Sriwijaya University,
Muhammadiyah University in Palembang, and Economics Academy of Multi
Data Palembang with 130 respondents. The data analysis is multiple regression
analysis to know the effect of attitude, norm, control, and risk preference to
intention of investation in capital market. This study also uses MSI (Method of
Succession Interval) to transform ordinal scale to interval scale. The result
showed that attitude, norm, and risk preference have positive and significant
affect to intention of investation in capital market, then control does not affect.
