Abstract :
Background: Bullying victims are someone who gets aggression or violence both physically and verbally who cannot defend themselves. The Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) in 2018 A total of 161 cases, namely 36 children victims of violence and bullying (22.4%), children of policy victims (extortion, school expulsion, may not take exams) were 30 cases (18, 7%). Individuals who get bullying treatment will have an impact on the individual such as anxiety, fear, solitude, unwillingness to socialize, reduced concentration of children, and decreased academic value. The impact of other individuals who are victims of bullying is the psychology such as how to regulate their emotions, interactions with others and the relationship with their schoolmates. Research purposes: this study aims to describe the emotional intelligence and learning motivation in class VIII bullying victims in Palembang State Middle School 40 Method: the method in this study uses descriptive method with cross sectional design and the sample consists of 70 respondents Results: the average learning motivation possessed by respondents was moderate motivation with 66 respondents (94.3%) and emotional intelligence the majority of respondents had moderate emotional intelligence with 68 respondents (97.1%). Suggestion: For schools so that the school can hold a more effective meeting program with parents of students related to developing their children in the school environment. The results of this study are expected to be used as an illustration of how bullying can affect emotional intelligence and learning motivation
