Abstract :
Background : Chloride is an anion which is commonly found in extracellular fluid and plays an important role in maintaining body fluid balance. Most of the Chloride consumed binds to sodium (sodium chloride of Nacl). The sample used in this examination is serum. In this study the aim was to determine chloride levels in centrifuged serum 3000 rpm for 5 minutes and 4400 rpm for 3 minutes. Method : This type of research is pre experiment with Intact-Group Comparison research design. The subject of this study 22 respondents who had met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Blood samples are the frozen first at room temperature 20-30 minutes, the centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 5 minutes and speed of 4400 rpm for 3 minutes. The inspection method used is the ISE (Ion Selective Electrode) metode. Data were analyzed using Paired T-test statistical test. Result : Examination of blood serum chloride levels in blood serum centrifuged was 3000 rpm for 5 minutes avaraged 100,93 mEq/L and 4400 rpm for 3 minutes avaraged 101,2 mEq/L. The result of paired T-test statistical test should than there was a differences in Chloride levels in blood serum centrifuged was 3000 rpm for 5 minutes and 4400 rpm for 3 minutes with a value (sig) which was 0,004 < 0,05. Conclusion : Based on research, it can be concluded that there is a differences in chloride levels in blood serum centrifuged was 3000 rpm for 5 minutes and 4400 rpm for 3 minutes.
