Abstract :
Background : The quality of child development, especially in the first 3 years to 6 years of life needs serious attention. Because it is a very sensitive period to the environment, and this period was short-lived and can not be repeated, it called, the golden era (the golden period). Golden period can be seen from the four aspects of developments which will determine the development of the next phases. One is the aspect of language development. To achieve the proper standard language development, we need a method that applied in the child, so that children can achieve compliance with the standards of language development according to language development, one of the method is singing. Purpose : study aims to determine the effect of singing with audio media on language development of children aged 4-6 years in Dirgantara Kindergarten Talang Betutu Palembang. Methods : This study used quantitative methods to the study design, Praeksperimen, one group pretest posttest design with sample consisted of 43 respondents. Results : The results showed that the P-value 0.000 <0.05, this showing that the influence of singing with audio media on language development of children aged 4-6 years in Dirgantara kindergarten Talang Betutu Palembang. That is why we need the nurse's role as an educator to provide education to parents to participate in every activities to improve children's language development.
