Abstract :
Background : Failure mothers in breastfeeding because of lack of motivation and self-awareness in giving exclusive breastfeeding. Exclusive breastfeeding is giving only breast milk without food and other drinks to babies from the age of 0-6 months. Aim : This research aims to knowing Factors Associated With Exclusive Breastfeeding In Nursing Mother Social Puskesmas in Palembang 2016. Method : This research uses analytic survey research with draft cross sectional, with analysis Chi-square. The technique of collecting the results of research use Accidental sampling with a sample of 34 respondents. Result : The results showed that does not give exclusive breastfeeding as much as 16 (47.1%) and who exclusively breastfed were 18 (52.9%), respondents who have a good attitude as much as 22 (64.7%), high motivation were 19 (55.9%), Child parity ? 3 by 24 (70.6%). Conclusion : There is no significant relationship between attitude with exclusive breastfeeding in nursing mothers in Puskesmas Social Palembang 2016 (p value 0.297), there is no significant relationship between motivation and exclusive breastfeeding in nursing mothers in Puskesmas Social Palembang 2016 (p value 0.319), there is no significant relationship between parity with exclusive breastfeeding in nursing mothers in Puskesmas Social Palembang 2016 (p value 0.270). Suggestion : Social expected more attention to the health center and increase promotion posyandu about exclusive breastfeeding for mothers with babies and mothers who will get the baby.
