Abstract :
Background: Someone who enter old age has many physiological decline. The decline in physiological function as result of generative (aging) is cause of emergence of various diseases. Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimune diseases that occurs in the joint tissue with one symptom that is pain in the so that pain of this Rheumatoid arthritis interferes daily activity of elderly people. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between pain of rheumatoid arthritis with daily physical activity of ederly people in Tresna Werdha Teratai KM 6 Palembang year 2016. The research method was quantitative with cross sectional approach. The population in this research were all ederly in Tresna Werdha Teratai KM 6 Palembang. The sample in this study were 54 respondents. Sampling was by purposive sampling. Statistical test result got value 0,030 where p < ? 0,05 then Ha was accepted. The conclusion of this research is there is a relationship between the rheumatoid arthritis pain with daily physical activity. Suggestions from this research is for health practitioners especially nurses who treat elderly people can reduce pain rheumatoid arthritis so it does not interfere patient?s daily activities.
