Abstract :
The aim of this study is to enhance students? knowledge about speaking in Computer Network Engineering. The 4.0 industrial revolution requires students to master technology and have the ability to communicate in English. Therefore, this set of speaking instructional materials consists of English materials that relate with Computer Network Engineering materials, by combining English syllabus and Network Computer Engineering syllabus. This study was conducted to answer two research questions: how is speaking instructional materials for the tenth grade students of Vocational High Schools majoring in Computer Network Engineering designed and how is the design of speaking instructional materials for the tenth grade students of Vocational High Schools majoring in Computer Network Engineering look like. To answer the first question, this research used Research and Development design by adapted Borg and Gall?s (1983) and Kemp (1977) instructional designs. The second question answered by the presentation of the designed materials. There were eight chapters in the designed materials: five chapters contained General English and Computer Network Engineering, while three chapters only contained General English part. Based on the evaluation results, the designed materials are appropriate and suitable for the tenth grade students of vocational high schools majoring in Computer Network Engineering.
