Abstract :
Many organizations use design applications to draw the products they make. Every organization or even individual does not want the data or information sent to be known by others. Images must be protected because images can be secret designs, such as designs of military vehicles, weapons or even secret photos. To secure digital data, cryptography is one solution, including if the data is to be secured in the form of digital images. One encoding method for securing data is to use the Hill Cipher encoding technique. Hill Cipher can be applied to images by making changes to the calculation on the value of RGB (Red Green Blue) images, so the Hill Cipher can also be used to encode images. The Hill Cipher algorithm is not without flaws. This algorithm is not able to encrypt digital images perfectly if the digital images consist of large areas of only the same color or gray level images that make the encryption results from the Hill Cipher only change the color but the shape can still be identified. Therefore a combination of algorithms is needed to perfect it. The algorithm that can be used to do a combination of encryption on digital images is Arnold?s Cat Map. Arnold's Cat Map is an algorithm that was created as a method for shuffling the pixel order in an image so that the shape of the image becomes unknown.
