Abstract :
Indonesia has major population, and without the improvement of the population quality, the population rate keeps growing. One solution to overcome this problem is Family Planning program. The study was aimed at finding out the numbers of children, finding out the relationship among knowledge and husband?s role n selecting injectable contraceptives at Rumah Bersalin Citra Palembang. The method of the study was analytical with Cross Sectional Design. The sample of the study was all mothers who visited the clinic and who did select the injectable contraceptives. By using purposive sampling technique, there were forty-four women taken as sample. The data were analyzed by using univariat and bivariat analysis with chi-square statistic test. The result showed that the p value for education was 0.614>? 0,05 , knowledge was 1.000 >? 0,05, number of children was 0.562 >? 0,05 , and husband?s role was 1.000 >? 0,05 and had no relationship in contraceptives selection process. This study also suggest that guidance and counseling from Family Planning officers are needed regarding the basic pattern of the use of contraception.
