Abstract :
Background: Broadly speaking, sudden stroke onset, progressive, neurological deficits. Stroke is a cerebrovascular disease that could refer to any sudden neurologic disorder, which can occur as a result of the restriction or interruption of blood flow through brain arteries supply system. Stroke is characterized by rapidly evolving clinical symptoms and lasts for 24 hours or more. Objective: to know the risk factors that affect the frequency of stroke in the Stroke Unit RS. RK. Charity Palembang in 2015. This type of research: This research is a quantitative research with cross sectional design with a sample of 15 respondents. Results: statistical test found no significant relationship between age invitation stroke frequency with p value = 0, 742, there was no significant association between a history of hypertension with the frequency of stroke with p value = 0, 467, there was no significant association between history of diabetes mellitus with the frequency of stroke with p value = 0.728, no significant association between smoking and the frequency of stroke with p value = 0.882 in RS. The conclusion: that the risk factors that affect the frequency of stroke such as age, history of hypertension, history of diabetes mellitus, and smoking is not a factor related to the frequency of attacks stroke.
