Abstract :
The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) is one of the Faculties at Musi Charitas Catholic University (UKMC). At present in FST various information systems have been running for the needs of students. However, the web-based FST is not yet equipped with web service technology. To cover it, web service technology will be applied in the application of FST activities, which with this web service technology will allow it to be read by platforms other than the web. In addition, the use of web service technology can also ease the work of the database which the client should access through different channels to the database will be transferred to the web service. The REST architecture, which is basically operated via HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol), refers to the process of reading certain web pages that contain a JSON file. This file describes and contains the content to be presented to consumers. After going through a certain definition process, consumers will be able to access the available application interfaces Keywords : Database, Web service, UKMC, REST API, Laravel
