Abstract :
Tofu Edan is a tofu industry located in the Bukit Besar area, Palembang. The tofu production process consists of several stages, namely washing, milling, cooking, filtering, pressing and printing, cutting and finishing. Based on the calculation of the energy consumption level of these stages, the level of energy consumption is spread in the filtering section, amounting to 6.06 kcal / Min which is classified into the type of heavy work. Through the Nordic Body Map questionnaire given to screening workers, the largest average pain complaint level can be seen, namely the shoulders, neck, arms, waist, elbows, wrists, hands, knees, calves, ankles and feet. In this study, the design of work facilities in the form of a tofu filter device was carried out by first analyzing the energy of the initial expenditure by calculating the heart rate, then determining the anthropometric dimensions to determine the dimensions of the tofu filter and obtaining the ergonomic design results. Anthropometric data were taken from Sari Murnip's workers during the research. Based on the design results with the prototype and calculation of energy consumption, the final filter tool design results with the anthropometric approach can provide improvements in the energy consumption of workers. The result of the average energy consumption before the design was 6.06 kcal / min, which means it is classified as heavy work, while the result of the average energy consumption after the design is 1.13, which means it is classified as light work. Keywords : nordic body map, anthropometry, energy consumption, ergonomics, tofu filter tool.
