Abstract :
Bintang Baru Workshop is a workshop engaged in the automotive sector, especially trucks and welding the car body. Existing work processes in this workshop are a decrease in car engines, car oil changes, and welding the car body, especially on truck cars. Workers who are too tired have also fallen asleep while welding the back of a truck and are almost hurting themselves. Therefore, in this study calculating the optimal workload and rest periods for workers and exchanging each rest hour so that skilled workers get the proper rest time and get enough energy to do the work. The analysis was carried out by identifying the rest periods and energy consumption at the engine drop station and the car body welding. So that after the implementation of the planning of the break time can minimize the occurrence of excess workload and can be calculated the level of productivity seen from the number of hours lost before implementation worth 0.90222, 0.88888, and 0.91769 then after implementation worth 0.92000, 0.91452 and 0.93827.
