Abstract :
Diarrhea is a main problem in the world, for 5-10 million deaths yearly. It shows from the high morbidity and morbidity due to diarrhea. Diarrhea is mainly caused by contaminated food and beverages as a result of poor hygiene access. The factors of education, mother knowledge are very important prevent diarrhea at children. Mother is a person who closest to the child. This study proposes to determine the frequency of education, knowledge of the frequency, the frequency of diarrhea prevention, prevention of diarrhea relationship with the education, knowledhe to prevent diarrhea, mothers who have children aged 0-5 years at RT 08 Puskesmas Sukarami Palembang. Using the analytic mthod with cross sectional design, sample was the total population with a sample were 53 mother who have children age 0-5 at Sukarami Palembang. The result is the frequency of education RT 08 Sukarami Palembang which basic education (primary and junior) is 19 (35,8%) are 53 respondents, the frequency of knowledge RT 08 Sukarami Palembang is 24 (45,3%) are 53 respondents, and the frequency of diarrhea prevention RT 08 Sukarami Palembang with diarrhea prevention is 25 (47,2%) are 53 respondents. Statistical test results obtained p-value = 0,035 ? 0,05 Ha H0 accepted and rejected means that there is a relationship between education and the prevention of diarrhea and Statistical test results obtained knowledge p-value = 0,029 ? 0,05 with acceptable Ha H0 is rejected means there is a relationship between mother knowledge to the prevention of diarrhea. Preventing diarrhea is expected enlarge knowledge and horizon about diarrhes in community.
