Abstract :
This study aims to determine the role of Materialism in mediating the influence of Celebrity worship from Kpop fans from Generation Z on their Online Compulsive buying. The population in this study are all people who is a Kpop fans, while the sample in this study are 90 respondents who had met the predetermined criteria using purposive sampling. This study uses two methods in testing the hypothesis, namely by using the t test and Path Analysis. The results of the t test show that there is an influence between Celebrity worship on Kpop fans from Generation Z on Online compulsive buying, so the first hypothesis is accepted. Then, the test results show that there is an influence between Celebrity worship on Kpop fans from generation Z on Materialism, so that the second hypothesis is accepted. Then, the test results show that there is an influence between the Materialism of Generation Z Kpop fans on online compulsive buying, so the third hypothesis is accepted. Furthermore, in the test using path analysis, the results show that there is an indirect effect of Materialism in mediating the influence between Celebrity worship and online compulsive buying.
