Abstract :
This study aims to determine the ability of students in completing the addition of decimal numbers for grade IV at SDK Xaverius 02 Palembang and to find out the obstacles faced by students in completing the estimated addition of decimal numbers at SDK Xaverius 02 Palembang. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative research. The subjects in the study were fourth grade students at the Catholic Elementary School Brother Xaverius 02 Palembang. Data collection techniques in this tests and documentation. The results showed that students were able to add decimal numbers by converting units of 92.3% and as many as 7.7% of students were unable to add decimal numbers. From the results of this study, there were still obstacles from some students who were wrong in the concept of adding decimal numbers, namely not converting numbers..
