Abstract :
Diabetes mellitus is a state of the body that unable to carry out metabolic activities on carbohydrates, fats, proteins, causing blood glucose levels to increase. The problems always arise in DM are instability of blood glucose levels and BMI. This will affect the complications of DM. Purpose: To determine the correlation between body mass index and blood glucose level on ankle brachial index value Method: quantitative research with a cross sectional design. The population in this study are 33 respondents with the total sampling technique and the sample used was 22 respondents. Results: from 22 study subjects, there were 19 female subjects (86.4%) and 3 male subjects (13.6%). The mean age of the study subjects was 56.68 years. The average length of suffering from diabetes in the study subjects was 10.05 years. Most BMI in research subjects were in the Normal BMI (18.5 - 24.9) (54.5%). Most blood glucose was found in the Bad blood glucose (> 257 mg / dl) (40.9%). Most ABI was found in the ABI Normal (1.00-1.40) (90.9%). There is no relationship between BMI and ABI (p value = 0, 305, r = 0.213). There is no relationship between Blood Glucose and ABI (p value = 0, 428, r = -0, 162).
