Abstract :
Scription the stock market reaction to the announcement of a cash dividend. Sampling methods judgment sampling where the sampled companies are companies that provide cash dividend announcement. The purpose of this research is to prove the existence of capital market reaction to the announcement of the dividend and affects investor in making an investment decision on the indonesion stock exchange. Analysis begins by calculating AR, AAR each sample during the testing period observation. After that descriptive statistic, testing normality, and hypothesis testing with different test, which is one sample t-test and paired sample t-test. The results of this study indicate that the cash dividend announcement events causing significant market reaction to the one sample t-test, while the paired sample t-test was no market reaction before and after AAR.
