Abstract :
This study aims to determine how the effect of work stress on the performance of junior high school teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic in the city of Palembang. The population in this study were junior high school teachers in the city of Palembang. The sample in this study was 100 respondents. Primary data in this study in the form of respondents' answers to questionnaire questions while secondary data in this study were obtained from books, journals, articles related to work stress and teacher performance. Data collection techniques in this study used a questionnaire instrument. The data collection technique in this study used a questionnaire instrument. The data analysis technique uses validity test, reliability test, classic assumption test, simple linear regression test, hypothesis test and determination coefficient test (R2) with the help of SPSS 26.0 for windows software. This research uses quantitative research. T test research results show that job stress has a negative effect on teacher performance.
