Abstract :
Background: Covid-19 has become a world health problem, this condition shows a virus that is very dangerous for children. Parents are expected to be vigilant and provide protection in preventing covid in children. The importance of preventing COVID-19 in children is derived from a pattern of predictive abilities from information or experience received. Protecting children can be done in many ways, such as persuading children to consume nutritious and nutritious food
Research Objectives: This study aims to determine the description of mother's knowledge and behavior regarding the prevention of Covid-19 in children.
Methods: This study uses a descriptive method of 46 respondents who were taken using a total sampling technique with data analysis using descriptive statistical tests.
Results: the results of the univariate research showed that the age of the youngest respondent was 20 years and the oldest was 49 years, the average age of the respondents was 31.50, the majority of respondents' education was high school, namely 28 respondents (60.9%), the majority knowledge was good. as many as 42 respondents (91.3%), and sufficient knowledge as many as 4 respondents (8.7%), and the majority of positive mothers' behavior as many as 44 respondents (95%), and 2 respondents who behave negatively (4.3%).
Suggestion: The results of this study can increase knowledge and behavior about preventing covid-19 in respondents so that they can apply covid-19 prevention in pre-school age children.
