Abstract :
In the era of globalization, the development of the automotive world is enormous. And the demand for such automotive four wheeler is increased, all of it is influenced by the price of new cars are very affordable by the customers. The many vehicles operating in Palembang, both vehicles were produced in old or new vehicle production year, resulting in the demand for maintenance and repair of vehicles will increase. It makes business growth workshops official and unofficial. Non-formal workshops belonging to more small and medium enterprises (SME) they were trying to find the customer by providing services, not less satisfaction with the existing authorized workshops in the city of Palembang. One solution to help people find information on the workshop Palembang official is to apply the "Geographic Information System Layout official Car Repair in Palembang Using Quantum GIS? This system can provide location information, general information and service facilities authorized repair shop. In making this system, researchers used a waterfall system development methodologies, software development UML (Unified Modeling Language), as well as the PHP programming language, Quantum Gis and the database is MySQL.This information system is expected to help people, especially immigrant communities who want to get information on the location of authorized workshops Palembang.
