Abstract :
The Government Department is one of the supporting elements of the regional autonomy authority implementation in various fields in order to implement the task of decentralization. Government has the function of giving public service required by the community, ranging from service in the form of the arrangement or any other services in order to fulfill the necessity of community in the areas of education, health and others. One of the cities that have many Government Department and scattered in various areas is Palembang, where this city is undergoing a development in various fields, particularly the field of community service. One of the solutions to help Palembang citizen to get information about The Office of Government Department City is to implement ?The Mapping of Geographic Information System of the Palembang Government Department Office by using ArcGis?. This system can provide layout information, general information and facilities of the department office. In this system, the researcher used a methodology waterfall system development, development of UML (Unified Modelling Language) software, also programming language PHP and the database is MySQL. This information system is expected to help the community particularly the immigrant who wants to get layout information of Palembang government department office.
