Abstract :
Background: Diet is an attempt to maintain health by following a healthy diet, eating three main meals a day and having light meals twice a day, If humans cannot regulate the patern properly it can increase the risk of obesity, diabetes
Objektives: It is know taht the relationship between diet and BMI and GDS among residents of RT 73 Sukarami.
Methods: The research method used is quantitative research using a Cross sectional approach with the corelation study method . purposive sampling technique using the kendall tau test.
Results: In this study, a good diet with a normal boddy mass indexs are 28 respondents (33,3%) the results of the corelation test obtained a p-value of 0,009 , meaning that there is a relationship between diet and BMI. The corelation coefesien value of 0,352 mean that the close relationship is weak with a positive direction, meaning that the diet is good, so bmi is normal. Respondents who have a good diet with blood sugar when not DM are 47 respondents (78,3%). The results of the corelation test get a p-value 0,047, meaning that there is a relationship between diet anda GDS, positive direction menas that the diet is good then the GDS is Normal.
Sugestions: respondent are expected to be able to regulate a good diet because agood diet is related to BMI and GDS , further researchers are expected to be able to directly observe the contens that is eaten such asa fat, protein
