Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of cyberloafing on the performance of car dealer back office employees in the city of Palembang. The independent variable is cyberloafing and the dependent variable is employee performance. This type of quantitative research with causal associative approach. The data collection method in this study used the Purposive Sampling method with the criteria (1) Car dealer back office employees, (2) Have worked at least 1 year, (3) Have company internet facilities that are connected to computers and smartphones. This research method uses instrument feasibility test, namely validity test and reliability test. The data feasibility test consisted of normality test, heteroscedasticity test, and simple linear regression analysis. The feasibility test of the model is the coefficient of determination (R2). The hypothesis test is the T test. The results of this study indicate that cyberloafing has a negative effect on the performance of car dealer back office employees in the city of Palembang.
