Abstract :
Specifies the number of students who will register or not every year, not an easy thing for a private university. This occurs because the private university is not the main choice of prospective students in general, so that when they are received at one of the public universities, private universities will then usually be left without notice. To overcome these problems, so in this study developed a system to analyze the possibility of resigning for new students that implements the algorithm C4.5. This study uses the waterfall model on the development of the system. The design of the system is done with flowcharts and system implemented in the programming language PHP using MySQL as the database. The data used is data of students who have made a purchase registration form at the Catholic university of Charity musi palembang on the faculty of science and technology. The resulting system works with mempresentasekan issues in order to determine the number of students who will register or not annually into the decision tree is then formed using a decision rule C4.5 algorithms. Based on the results of a decision tree that has been formed can be used as a reference by the marketing to potential applicants maintain registration.
