Abstract :
Nurses are one of the professions that play a central role during the covid-19 pandemic that needs to have emotional intelligence and conflict management skills. This study aims to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and the conflict management ability of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research uses quantitative research, using the Accidental Sampling method. Respondents in this study were 62 nurses who worked at Charitas Hospital Belitang. Collecting data using a scale in the form of a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using validity test, reliability test, normality test, and linearity test. The statistical test used in this study is a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the SPSS simple linear regression test, a value of 0.00 < 0.05 was obtained so it was proven that there was a relationship between emotional intelligence and the conflict management ability of nurses during the Covid-19 pandemic. Nurses need to have good emotional intelligence in dealing with the problems they face so that with good emotional intelligence, nurses will also have good management skills in solving problems faced in hospital services.
