Abstract :
This research aims to find out the effect of profitability, liquidity, and leverage on financial distress on retail companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2017-2020. The data used is secondary data. The population in this study is a retail company listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sampling technique used is a purposive sampling method and obtained 22 companies with a total of 88 samples. Hypothesis testing is done by multiple regression analysis of bootstrapping methods because the research data is not normally distributed. The results of this study showed that profitability had no effect on financial distress, liquidity had a positive effect on financial distress, and leverage negatively affected financial distress.
