Abstract :
This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of emotional intelligence variables on the performance variables of private elementary school teachers in Palembang City. The population in this study was all private elementary school teachers in Palembang City with a sample taken as many as 100 respondents. The primary data of this study used data related to the variables of emotional intelligence and teacher performance, while the secondary data of this study were the number of public and private elementary schools in the city of Palembang, the number of data on male and female teachers in the city of Palembang, and other data related to the study.Hypothesis testing uses a simple linear regression analysis method with the help of the SPSS ver program. 26.0. Based on the results of hypothesis testing and data analysis, the results of this study are emotional intelligence significantly affect the performance of private elementary school teachers in Palembang City.
