Abstract :
The competition between companies in this era of globalization seems very intense. Every company should have the ability to increase its organization or company performance to win business competition by improving the quality of work. Intellectual capital is an intangible asset in the form of information and knowledge resources that serves to improve competitiveness and to increase company performance. Meanwhile, human capital as one of the intellectual capital elements is the most important asset in developing and maintaining the viability of an organization (ongoing concern). This study is aimed at determining the implementation of human capital in human resources at Charitas Hospital, Palembang; supported by a qualitative-descriptive method of research. The population of this research consists of the manager of Charitas Hospital Palembang. Technique Section of this study uses a purposive ssampling technique. There are 5 (five) informants pointed as samples, and the data analysis is carried out by describing the results of interviews. The research through interviews finds the result that human capital at Charitas Hospital has not been capitalized as capital in the financial statements. However, from the management concept perspective, this has been recognized as capital/asset, so that it has been managed properly through the HRD/Human Resource Departement.
