Abstract :
WINDA AYUNANI, EFFECT OF COST OF QUALITY TO VOLUME IN SALES WITH USE OF PRODUCT QUALITY AS A MEDIATION VARIABLE (Guided by Mr. Y. Andry Putranto, S.E., M.Sc., Ak., CA) This study examines the effect of cost of quality to volume in sales with use of product quality as a mediation variable. The samples in this study were middle level managers of manufacturing company in the city of Palembang. Sampling using purposive sampling. Samples can be used are 20 company and each company got 3 copies of the questionnaire. This study uses primary data which obtained from the questionnaire by the respondents answers. Data analysis techniques in this study using the R statistics program. From the analysis of the data showed that cost of quality has significant effect to volume in sales. Meanwhile, cost of quality has negative effect to product quality. It means use of product quality is not supported as a mediation variable in this study. Keyword: Cost of quality, volume in sales, and product quality.
