Abstract :
Writing is one of the important skills in English because people need to learn writing in English for business or academic purpose. By writing , people are able to express their ideas, feeling, opinion and able to communicate with other people. The way to master an international language well is by writing and practicing it. The objectives of the study are: 1. To know the content of students? descriptive text writing to the tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Sidayu 2. To know the organization of students? descriptive text writing to the tenth grade at SMA Negeri 1 Sidayu In this study the writer focused on the analysis of students? writing to the tenth grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Sidayu. This research uses the descriptive research. In collecting the data, the researcher copies students? writing. Then, researcher analyzes them. The data of the study are analyzed by using the procedures such as analyzing the data, and taking conclusion relating to the result of the study. From the result of the study the researcher can conclude: 1. The content of the students? writing is categoried good because each paragraph connected each other. 2. The organization of students? writing is good because all pargraphs have Introduction, body and conclusion Furthermore the writer suggested for future researcher to conduct another researcher dealing with other areas of students? writing, but on different areas of topic faced by students in writing descriptive text.
